Batman Catwoman The Gotham War Scorched Earth #1 cover a

Hey Kids! It's the end of another DC event! Here's the thing, it's not really over! The reason being, DC is clearly embracing continuity. Gotham War is a direct result of Lazarus Planet, which happened because of Batman Vs. Robin. It sure is easy to assume that there's an important story beat somewhere in Knight Terrors too. I'm sure a DC editor knows, because they have them. Anyway, this issue has perfectly serviceable art, and some interesting character work, but it's not gonna change your life or anything. What it is likely to do though, is change the DC Universe for the foreseeable future, and that makes it all feel like it "matters" as much as any thing can. Highly recommended for the comic reader that wants to get sucked into a universe that's actually being refreshed with new parts every week, as opposed to, say, strip mining. Highly recommended for people who like reading stories about superheroes.
