Bettie's adventures continue in this new series. And with this new series comes a very clever twist. Described in ads as a Crisis of Infinite Betties, that's sort of what this is. Bettie starts in her universe as the government agent who has just saved the Queen. Next thing you know, she's a certain chain-mail sword swinging warrior. And after some hair raising adventures, she's face to face with the second charm. The best part of this concept is that Bettie remains her usual self. Quick-witted and always ready with a smart aleck response, Bettie show us that she is a woman to be reckoned with. Whether face to face with an evil sorcerer or freeing a group of potential slaves, Bettie can do it all. SPOILER ALERT! Can't wait until next issue when like an episode of Quantum Leap, Bettie ends up as a well known alien vampire hottie in an iconic red outfit! New series or not, Bettie continues to be a terrific character.
