I liked Kaiju no. 8 well enough, but I dearly loved Sakamoto Days, or What If? History of Violence had a lot more laughs and even more violence. It's basically the story of an assassin that goes straight and opens a convenience store, until the fighting and shenanigans ensue. Not only did I love it, but it's only on the first volume, making this an excellent way to try some manga. Don't be afraid to dive into the manga pool. Drink deep, or taste not, the manga spring.
