Not a dream, not an imaginary story, not an elseworld. This is Flash Fact: When Barry Allen wakes at his desk, he discovers the world has changed. Family is alive, loved ones are strangers, and close friends are different, gone or worse. It's a world on the brink of a cataclysmic war - but where are Earth's Greatest Heroes to stop it? It's a place where America's last hope is Cyborg, who hopes to gather the forces of The Outsider, The Secret 7, S!H!A!Z!A!M!, Citizen Cold and other new and familiar-yet-altered faces! It's a world that could be running out of time, if The Flash can't find the villain who altered the time line!

Welcome to FLASHPOINT!

BONUS REVIEW by SHANNA BERRY

Seems like almost every year a series is hyped up to be the event of the summer, with promises to shake things up. Sometimes we feel as though we've wasted yet another 4 bucks…and then other times, it delivers. FLASHPOINT DELIVERS. There's been a lot of resistance to a big game-changing event, which I just don't understand. Flash, up until now, though enjoyable, has for me been slightly stale. Barry came back, Rebirth made the speedforce confusing, and then he just went on to same 'ol-same 'ol, solving the murder of his mother was about the only thing worthwhile to take place in Flash recently. I was just about done reading one of my favorite heroes, when FLASHPOINT took flight and whisked me off my feet. Now returns ZOOM – with a plan that has devastated Barry Allen's world. I don't have to tell you this issue is paced wonderfully, Geoff Johns has been waiting to tell this story for who knows how long; with incredible art by Andy Kubert. For more info on the hows and the whys, pick up Road to Flashpoint (Flash #9-12). If there's one thing you should know about FLASHPOINT it's this: you need to read it.
