Jack is back-and this time, the blood is red. Five unsolved murders. Two of the greatest creators in the history of comics. One sprawling conspiracy, one metropolis on the brink of the 20th century, and one bloody-minded Ripper ushering London into the modern age of terror. Reviews

For those Alan Moore lovers who haven't yet read From Hell , this is finally the time to kick Watchmen right in it's pedestal. Actually, I think that From Hell is the best graphic novel, ever. While it's not my favorite, and it certainly isn't one to crack open when you've got an hour to kill, it's entirely unlike any comic published before or since. Basically, Alan is bored one day and decides to become one of the world's foremost "Ripperologists", because he just can. Then he writes a funnybook that presents his possible solution to the murders. It may sound simple, but it's far from it, in the best possible way. When it first appeared, it was published in black and white and buried in an anthology. This series is newly colored by Campbell himself. I didn't mind it, and it made a re-reading feel fresh. Don't skip the annotations either, mostly because they're real. This actually happened. Unlike Watchmen. Highly recommended for Moore fans, anybody even mildly interested in Jack the Ripper, and those who want to read one of the best comics that there has ever been.
