HER HAMMER, HIS AX: A WORTHY APOCALYPSE.
When a battle goes south, Thor finds herself in ancient Egypt - facing a young Odinson!
A misguided party of Vikings has bitten off way more than they can spear. But when the prince of Asgard answers their cries for help, he ends up in a fight no axe alone can win! And Apocalypse is not one for mercy.
Can a not-yet-worthy god and a time-lost hero take on one of the world's most powerful mutants at the height of his empire? And what does their encounter mean for the future of two Thors? Rated T+

This issue has everything a Thor story should have. It has Thor fighting w/ Odin. It has Thor fighting to protect vikings. It has Loki being mischievous. It has goats and longboats, axes and swords. It has a hammer.

That hammer should have been used to pound in a few more "You should care about this" brand nails (available at Home Depot). I didn't care. I wanted to. I tried to. It's really pretty. Mahmud Asrar does some really nice thick contour work on pages with fine layouts. It's probably exactly in between Olivier Coipel's Thor and Kyle Baker's Thor (if there were such a thing).

It only exists to start more nonsense though. There's nonsense in the issue. There's nonsense coming because of the issue. There's flashback nonsense that might make you hate the issue as even the flashback sets up more future nonsense. A frustrating disappointment at best.
