The Shrouded College will give you magic… but you'll incur a debt. Until it's paid, you belong to them. Married couple Maia and Sebastian Stone took that deal. They have worked for the College ever since, using their new abilities to track down 666 cursed coins: qurrakh… aka, the Devil's Dollar. Only a few remain. The Stones are almost free… but the devil's in the details. Hellboy meets Indiana Jones in this supernatural adventure from CHARLES SOULE (EIGHT BILLION GENIES, UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY) and WILL SLINEY (Spider-Man).

Hey Kids! Comics...Retailing! You might not assume it, but the comics retailer is sometimes intimately aware of the glorious balance inherent in the universe. Sometimes you're reading an issue, and it's really good right out of the gate. Your eyes make the "nom nom" sound and all is fab! At approximately the half point of an exceptional debut issue, even though in the throes of four color enjoyment, the retailer hears it. A tiny voice, and it would have words with thee. Still only a faint echo from some months past, it recedes as you continue reading.
Three quarters into the book and you are enjoying the outstanding mix of story and art and are now stopping at the end of each page to think about how you did not order enough. I might describe my reaction to this as if Milla Jovovich were standing before me in Fifth Element tape holding a plate of Steak Diane made by Gordon Ramsey...and I decided to ignore her and see what Unspeakable is up to on Youtube. Yay and yikes both start with the same letter, you know.
Finish the book and find out in the text piece that it's going to be structurally similar to SIKTC. The retailer has enjoyed the book even while mentally punching through their skull and directly into their own spongy stupidity spout. Yin, meet Yang. Yang, Yin.
Highly recommended for anybody who wants to read another great thing by the dude who writes Eight Billion Genies, those who want to get in on the ground floor, and other retailers for whom second printings double as a form of therapy. Therapy with shipping charges.
