If you're not reading Ragnarok, let me give you some incentive, and some homework. Homework first- pick up issue twelve, and read the Art Gallery section in the back. Look over the pencils, the inks, the placement of the lettering. Then read the notes for each of those pages. They contain detailed reasons for each of the storytelling choices- where the eye travels, the emotional beats Walt Simonson is hoping for, the end result of those cross sections coming together.

Then, pick up your favorite DC or Marvel book, look at 6 pages, and ask yourself: Did that same level of thought, planning, and effort go in to the final result I'm looking at?

The answer will be 'yes' for some of those books. It will be 'no' for a good number of them. It will be 'H*ll no!' for far too many. When you see that, go back and pick up Ragnarok v1, pre-order v2, and add it to your list of titles to start with #13.

The incentive? Its about Thor. You like Thor, right?
