Meh. I've read a million comics that start with mysterious now pages followed by 3 months ago followed by 20 years ago. Blah Blah blah. Mystery bad a$$es fight other mystery bad a$$es over mystery things. Saga swipe happens (forbidden love). Saga/ The Spread swipe happens (narrator is not who this is about yet). There's even a Once & Future swipe (grandmotherly figure knows all and is not sharing). Add in some decent artwork and I might've read issue number two. Until I spent half the issue guessing what is happening because the James Cameron/ Guillermo Del Toro school of lighting happens like crazy in this issue. Lighting and coloring like that works way better with moving objects, not still images. I still don't know what happened in one of the biggest action scenes. No clue, because the coloring is so monochromatic and dark, everything blends together. EVERYTHING. Ugh. Give me millions of dots any day... Re-read Saga or read The Spread instead.
