VERY FINE/NEAR MINT

Written by Kelley Puckett Art and cover by Drew Johnson & Ray Snyder Variant cover by Adam Kubert

The Teen of Steel embarks on a brand-new direction as writer Kelley Puckett (Batgirl) joins forces with acclaimed art team Drew Johnson & Ray Snyder (Countdown, Wonder Woman) as the new SUPERGIRL creative team! An enthralling story arc begins with a bizarre delivery to Kara’s apartment that very quickly has her hopping dimensions and traveling through deep space! Guest-starring Superman, Batman and the Green Lantern Corps!

"For the first 18 pages, this was a 10 Graham issue. Kelley Puckett is in my Top Five Comic Writers, and Drew Johnson’s been studying enough Pete Woods’ comics to make the leap to superstar artist. For those first 18 pages, this thing is dripping with nuanced dialogue, artistic flourishes, and all the attention to detail to make this series a blockbuster success again. But, for some reason, the last four pages read like someone forgot to dialogue them. I’m all for subtlety in writing, but when I get to the shocking cliffhanger on your FIRST ISSUE, it’s not asking too much to want to know a) why it’s shocking, and b) why it’s a cliffhanger. But man, I’m still psyched to see where they go with it, ‘cause I’m so in love with those first 18 pages that I need to believe they’ll turn it around."
