It's the TMNT event of 2020! Springing from the minds of TMNT co-creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird comes an epic like you've never seen before! In a future NYC far different than the one we know today, a lone surviving Turtle goes on a seemingly hopeless mission to obtain justice for his fallen family and friends. Kinetic layouts from Eastman, moody inks from Andy Kuhn and a thrilling script full of surprises from longtime TMNT scribe Tom Waltz all combine to make this one of the most memorable TMNT stories you will ever read! Oversized in both format and page count, this is a perennial TMNT tale that can't be missed!

Are you sick of the "old man' trope? You know the one where a former badass younger guy disappears for tragic reasons for a certain number of years and then comes back to bitch about how much it hurts to move but is still able to kick the ever living stuffing out of younger more skilled opponents? Yes me too. Fortunately Kevin Eastman and friends are really good storytellers and The Last Ronin is really fun. Right on que, the story is set 10 years after the last mutant has been killed. Our lone surviving turtle comes out of hiding to stop the overlord of New York. Reading this book transported me back to Ryan Trent's house in the mid 80s. It felt like seeing an old friend without any of the awkwardness of being older. Don't get me wrong the current IDW Turtles are good to great but this read and looked like what I remember the Turtles being. Bad ass ninjas with a rough scratchy (thanks Mike Lee!) indy feeling! Highly recommended for mutant ninja turtle lovers of all kinds!
