We jump to 2099 and where is Venom once again under a control of a large corporation planning to use the symbiote for nefarious deeds! Oh actually they want to use him to heal people, that is definitely a new one. A young girl receives the 1st of this new treatment to heal scars and ends up with a new friend. This one shot for sure is not the Venom 2099 you knew from back in the day.

(Reviewer side notes can I not explain enough that the original Venom 2099 is one of the most underappreciated versions of Venom! Come on this is a guy who kills Punisher 2099 family for god’s sake! End note.)

The art is decent and the implications of the possibilities are exciting. We get a slight hint about a very big bad currently in Cates run and his fate in 2099. Whether this will be expanded upon becomes unseen and honestly I want to see the how before the comeback. “If you catch my drift.” Venom fans will love this and 2099 fans will get a kick out of it as well!
