“DIVIDED WE STAND”
Reeling from the events of Messiah Complex, the surviving mutants reassess Xavier’s dream amidst the rubble of the mansion. Betrayed by one of their own, and mourning the loss of former allies, is peaceful coexistence still an option? The only thing that’s certain is an uncertain future for mutantkind. Is anyone safe in a world without X-Men?

"Your enjoyment of this story depends pretty much entirely on your enjoyment of the dynamic between Cyclops and Emma Frost, since that’s what occupies about 85% of this issue. Oh, there’s the beginning of a couple sub-plots involving Nightcrawler, Colossus, Angel and The Wolverine, but it’s really all about Emma and Scott’s Savage Land getaway. When that getaway’s drawn by Mike Choi and written by Ed Brubaker, though, it turns out to be a welcome palate cleanser after the all-out warfare of Messiah CompleX. But despite that recommendation, keep in mind that unless you’re a Cyclops’n’Emma fan, there really isn’t much else for you this month in Uncanny."
